Celebrating Sankranthi with Service: Honoring Municipal Workers Inspired by Swami Vivekananda

Service is a selfless act performed for the welfare of others. As Swami Vivekananda said, “Never forget that you are serving God by serving humanity.” The municipal workers in our village play a vital role in keeping our surroundings clean and ensuring a healthy environment for all of us. It is our responsibility to honor their service.

Through this activity, let us embrace Swami Vivekananda’s message and demonstrate humanity and gratitude. Let us find joy in serving others, as “true fulfillment in life comes from serving others.”

This small gift to the hardworking municipal workers is a token of our appreciation for their dedication to our village. Together, let us promote humanity, cooperation, and the spirit of service.

✨ Spreading Joy Through Service This Festive Season ✨

Through One Village One India, our nonprofit, we’re honored to bring joy to those in need by sharing groceries ,sweets and festive fireworks this Diwali. As Swami Vivekananda once said, “In this world always take the position of the giver. Give everything and look for no returns. Give love, give help, give service, give any little thing you can, but keep out barter. Make no conditions and none will be imposed. Let us give out of our own bounty, just as God gives to us.”

This festival of lights reminds us of the power of kindness and community. Let’s continue spreading light and love to every corner we can reach.

Wishing everyone a safe, joyous, and meaningful Diwali! 🪔🌟

Highlighting Unsung Heroes: One Village One India Celebrates Municipal Workers on Sankranthi

Each year, as the auspicious occasion of Sankranthi dawns, the 'One Village, One India' charity organization unfailingly takes the opportunity to shine a spotlight on the often-overlooked heroes within our communities: the municipality workers. These dedicated individuals, tirelessly toiling behind the scenes to ensure the smooth functioning of our towns and cities, are too often relegated to the shadows of recognition.

However, through the heartwarming initiative of 'One Village, One India,' these unsung champions receive the appreciation they truly deserve. The organization's annual celebration not only brings joy and upliftment to the spirits of these workers but also serves as a poignant reminder of the power of gratitude and community spirit.

Amidst the festivities and camaraderie of Sankranthi, the gesture of honoring municipality workers resonates deeply, igniting a sense of unity and appreciation within the community. It sets a powerful example, urging others to pause and recognize the invaluable contributions of every member of society, regardless of their role or title.

Indeed, the essence of Sankranthi extends far beyond mere festivity; it embodies the spirit of coming together, acknowledging the efforts of all, and fostering a sense of belonging and appreciation within our shared communities. Through initiatives like 'One Village, One India,' this ethos is not only upheld but magnified, illuminating the path towards a more inclusive and grateful society.

Service During Pandemic

Education is the manifestation of perfection already existing in man - Swami Vivekanda

We have seen our watchmans kids sharing their fathers phone for online classes. We have served them a tab for their online classes , a security guard with his kids school fee and helped a few other daily wage workers who have lost their jobs recently. There are so many people around us who need help right now.Start serving with what you have at home which you don't really need.
